Quentin Tarantino movies are so good that after you have seen them ,you would want to dress like the characters. His iconic films: Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Bastards and Django Unchained have inspired most of the Quentin Tarantino costumes in this article.
Beatrix Kiddo from Kill Bill movie
The bride: the main protagonist in this movie, fell in love and got pregnant by Bill, the leader of the Deadly Vipers Assassination Squad of which she is a member. She flees the group hoping to provide a normal life for her child. It is at her wedding that her former squad tries to kill her.
Her costume consists of the traditional white wedding dress but bloodied with a pregnancy simulation. This is a simple costume that is very easy to make. Make sure to show the blood in streaks to create the effect that she is bleeding from bullet wounds. Her face was also messed up so some blood on there as well.
Beatrix Kiddo: she is the bride but now back for revenge against her former crew.
Her costume, this time, consists of, of course, the blond hair, a yellow track suit with black trim and a sword.
Characters from Pulp Fiction movie
Jules and Vincent: these two work for the gang boss Marsellus Wallace, collecting his money from debtors.
Their costumes are simple 60s get-up. Mustaches and sideburns are an iconic part of the look. And a nice neat Afro for the Afro-American guy and neatly combed back hair for his counterpart Jules. The suits worn by these two are the classics fro their day, same as those worn by Mafia characters.
Butch Coolidge: a box that never made it to the top, makes a deal with Marsellus Wallace to throw a fight for the bet money.
His costume is vest of fake muscles, a brown boxer gown and black short. It is the typical boxer look that is very simple to implement by yourself.
Mia Wallace: the wife to the notorious Marsellus Wallace, was in Vincent Vega’s company at the request of his boss Wallace. The two went out to some restaurant to eat and ended up dancing. A dance that has been made synonymous with the movie. She has a bob hair do and luscious red lip and a petite body.
Costumes from Django Unchained
Django: he is a freed slave, who is sought after by a German bounty hunter to find a bunch of nefarious brothers wanted by the law because he knew their faces well enough.
His initial costumes after he is freed consisted of a bonanza inspired cowboy costume with fleece-lined black leather gloves, a knit scarf in Moss, brown fox felt gambler hat, waffle knit in Moss and a big Tex holster.
He is later seen in a blue velour suit with white truffles. It consists of Austin Powers costume, opaque white thigh high tights, dark brown slip on shoes preferably Stacy Adams Bartley and a brown iPad day bag.
Calvin Candie: the captive of Django’s wife Broomhilda and the owner of Candyland plantation.
His costume consisted of a two-button breasted blazer in Burgundy, red patterned dress vest,
wool dress pants in Banker’s gray, a gold-tone pocket watch with chain, long slim cigarette holder with white stem and zombie Rot teeth paint.
Inglorious Bastards outfits
Donny “The bear Jew” Donowitz: earned his nickname, because he kills Nazis’ with his bare hands. He is so feared by the Nazis’ that it is almost like a myth.
His costume consists of a white vest, a striped elastic dress suspenders, military green Corduroy pants, black GI style combat boots, military dog tags, a gold mezuzah pendant necklace and a wood baseball bat.
SS Colonel Hans Landa: As the main antagonist of the film, he earned the nickname “The Jew Hunter”. He is assigned by Hitler himself to search and capture hiding in France. He is introduced into the scene at in a long dark intimidating coat over his Nazi military uniform. Which paints a picture of power and authority, to those around him.Shosanna Dreyfus: One of the main protagonist of the film and the owner of the cinema, Le Gamaar Cinema. She came up with a plan to have all Nazi top official come to her cinema to watch a film about a brave Nazi soldier.
Her costume at the height of the movie comprise of Black evening purse, fake cigarettes, long sleeved bandage mermaid gown dress in red, a wool felt pillbox hat with a veil in black.
